Buildings of the Bluff: Powell-Crabtree Cabin

This historic local log cabin was gifted to the Kaysinger Bluff Pioneer Association by Larry and Peggy (Crabtree) Berry in 2010.

Constructed sometime before 1857, the cabin was located just 100 feet from the Butterfield Stage Line, which operated from 1858 to 1861.

The Kaysinger Bluff Pioneer Heritage Association numbered the logs, dismantled, transported, and started reconstructing the cabin in 2011 at its current site.
